Provenancing

The project also explores the provenancing of materials. This necessitates getting out into the landscape and exploring the same material found at different sources, both in terms of physical characteristitics as well as elemental composition. The photographs document some initial work thinking about the sourcing of shale and ochre around the Yorkshire coast.
